Two years Primary Teachers Traning [Diploma in Education (D. Ed)] recognised by National Council of Teachers Education (N.C.T.E.) and affiliated by the WBBPE
Eligibity : Criteria (For Primary Teachers' Traning):

The Candidate who has passed Higher Secondary Examination or its equivalent from a recognised Board/Council securing at least 50% marks in aggregate is eligible to receive the application

(form and may be admitted to the Primary Teachers' Traning Course [Diploma in Education (D. Ed) and conseqnently may appear in the annual (D.Ed) Examination Provided that he/she has to continue a regular course of study for a priod of two years in a Primary Teachers' Traning Institute recognised by National Council of Teachers Education (N.C.T.E.) and affiliated by the WBBPE.

Reservation of Seats for the Candidates belonging to Schedule Caste,Schedule Tribe, other background classes and other exempted categories shall be as per the existing rules of the State Govt. i.e. reserved at the usual ratio of 22% for S.C. 6% for S.T. & 3% for P.H. respectively.
The Candidate should be minimum 18years and maximum 35years of age including Physical Handicapped.
  • Relaxation age : 40years in case of S.C./S.T. and 38years for O.B.C. Candidates as on 1st July of the year of admission as per WBBPE rules.
  • Relaxation in marks: There shall be a relaxation of 5% marks in favour of Schedule Caste & Schedule Tribe
    Admission shall be strictly on the basis of marks obtained by the applicants in the qualifying examination i.e. Plus II level examination. There shall given no bonus marks for higher academic qualification. There shall be no quota for in service Primary School Teachers in the un-aided Institutes

    As regards Filling up of 3% of seats by the Management of the institute, it should be filled up form amongst the candidates who have secured up to 10% of marks below. The marks obtained by the last selected Candidates of the relevant category with the approval of the District Selection Committee.

    Admission of Part A (First List) will be 5 th August, 2010 to 11th August, 2010
    Admission of Part B (Waiting List) will be 12 th August, 2010 to 18th August, 2010
